Dr. Elizabeth L. Hohmann is a staff physician and associate professor in the Infectious Diseases Division at Massachusetts General Hospital and is the director of the fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) core laboratory at MGH. Her research interests are primarily related to gastrointestinal infections and the intestinal microbiome. Libby’s clinical interests include C. difficile colitis and recurrent illness, FMT, Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella infections. She is especially interested in novel clinical trials of biological agents and microbes. Dr. Hohmann received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School, and infectious disease fellowship at MGH. She completed residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and is board certified in internal medicine and infectious disease.
